Overview

Amazon is seeking a Category Manager for Amazon Now to lead the Core Consumables Selection and Pricing Strategy and drive expansion into emerging Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and scale new verticals in consumables and beauty, significantly contributing to the growth of Amazon's seller ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Seller Development and Market Expansion: Formulate and execute strategies to identify, onboard, and grow high-potential D2C brands within the consumables and beauty sectors. Develop comprehensive roadmaps for new vertical launches, ensuring seamless integration, and design seller success programs to foster business growth and category excellence. Innovate solutions to accelerate the growth of emerging D2C brands, cultivate strategic relationships with key sellers, and establish scalable frameworks for optimizing seller performance and business development.
  • Strategic Leadership and Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional business leaders to gather crucial insights and build consensus on strategic decisions. Lead collaborative processes for selection and pricing strategies, presenting recommendations to senior leadership. Act as a champion for seller success initiatives across the organization.
  • Business Leader Collaboration: Engage closely with business leaders throughout the organization to obtain essential inputs and insights. Facilitate discussions to align priorities, ensuring informed selection decisions.
  • Market Insights Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify needs and opportunities. Leverage data-driven insights to inform recommendations for selection and pricing strategies.
  • High-Quality Input Assurance: Establish and maintain best-in-class frameworks for collecting, validating, and integrating diverse stakeholder inputs into selection processes.
  • Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement frameworks for effective selection and pricing strategies. Work with various internal stakeholders to operationalize these strategies.
  • Cataloguing Excellence: Set up superior cataloguing practices to empower consumers in making informed purchasing decisions.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting, with a proven track record in negotiations and delivering results.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and P&L ownership.
  • Proven experience in program management, particularly within collaborative environments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of professional or military experience. A Master’s degree in business, product management, or a related field is highly desirable.
