Senior Finance Manager

Overview

This Senior Finance Manager role at Point72 is pivotal for supporting the firm's expanding India operations. It involves driving financial governance, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making within a global investment platform, reporting to the Management Company Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Finance contact for the India office.
• Oversee and manage India-specific statutory requirements and related financial activities.
• Support various global Finance functions including Corporate Accounting, Market Data Research Finance, Vendor & Operations, and Procurement.
• Provide senior-level financial partnership on complex, cross-functional initiatives involving Technology, Legal, Regulatory Reporting, and Tax teams.
• Represent the Finance department locally with regulators, auditors, and external service providers.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Finance talent in India, with opportunities to scale staff and collaborate with external consultants.
• Partner with the Head of India office on strategic growth initiatives, including local hiring, onboarding, and career development in conjunction with HR.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, market data, or financial operations.
• Prior experience in asset management, hedge funds, financial services, or large global organizations is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of India's statutory, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including direct and indirect taxation matters (e.g., TDS, GST, transfer pricing).
• A professional qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), an MBA in Finance, or an equivalent degree is preferred.
