Overview
Point72 is seeking a Market Data Operations Associate to join their Enterprise Data Sourcing Team. This role focuses on managing daily market data operations, encompassing data governance, entitlement management, and general support. The associate will be crucial in meeting the firm's expanding data needs and supporting strategic market data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage notifications regarding market data and service changes from exchanges and suppliers.
- Identify and address any gaps in market data coverage or usage, providing appropriate licensing recommendations.
- Administer and oversee market data entitlements for various feeds (e.g., TREP, BPIPE) and terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ).
- Assist in managing exchange audits by fulfilling requirements and utilizing usage statistics from reports like SERS, DACS, and EMRS.
- Ensure the firm's market data access and usage adhere to licensing agreements.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle management of market data exchange contracts and renewals, including tracking user inventories and commercial terms.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support for market data operations, such as invoice reconciliation and internal reporting.
Required Skills
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, business, or a related field, with a strong academic background.
- At least four years of experience in market data management within a financial services or trading environment.
- A solid understanding of exchange data licensing, entitlement processes, and governance policies.
- Familiarity with market data platforms, feed technologies, and integration methods.
- Knowledge of global trading markets and relevant regulatory requirements.
