Point72, a leading global alternative investment firm, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Generative AI to join its Technology team. This role contributes to advancing the company's IT infrastructure, operating at the forefront of a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and operational oversight of robust, scalable AI/ML architectures and systems, prioritizing reliability, availability, and performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding technical direction, ensuring code quality, and driving the iterative delivery of large-scale solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and compliance to integrate AI/ML solutions into both new and existing products.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of GenAI services, including LLM inference, model serving, and proxy/gateway layers that support various downstream applications.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices related to observability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency for AI/ML platforms.
- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to ensure optimal quality and performance of AI/ML systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies, translating them into pragmatic business solutions.

Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software or AI/ML engineering, with a proven history of successfully delivering complex, production-grade systems.
