Job Description

Overview

This role is for a Data Reliability Engineer within Cubist Systematic Strategies, an affiliate of Point72. The position focuses on ensuring the robust operation of a large research infrastructure and the dependable delivery of precise data to portfolio managers globally. This is a critical role supporting systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across various liquid asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operational aspects of the research infrastructure to ensure seamless functionality.
Guarantee the prompt and error-free provision of comprehensive data to Cubist's global portfolio managers.
Assume primary ownership of essential data ETL pipelines that drive trading and investment decisions, maintaining their reliability, accuracy, and timeliness.
Proactively manage and resolve data incidents within a fast-paced trading environment, collaborating closely with investment professionals, data scientists, and external data vendors.
Architect and implement new tools, automation solutions, and thorough documentation to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and overall data quality across the platform.
Actively participate in day-to-day data operations, including data validation, remediation, and enrichment, while continuously seeking opportunities to modernize workflows through best engineering practices.
