Overview
This position is for an Analyst within the Financial Reporting team, focusing on the external reporting function. The role involves overseeing financial statements and management reporting to maintain a robust control environment. Key responsibilities include applying product, industry, and market knowledge to specialized reporting areas, ensuring adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements, and managing the consolidation and analysis of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply up-to-date knowledge of products, industry, and market trends to specific reporting areas.
- Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy, completeness, and quarter-over-quarter variances.
- Coordinate data collection and quarterly business results with various lines of business, Regulatory Controllers, and SEC reporting teams.
- Assist in evaluating issues and their outcomes comprehensively.
- Communicate financial information clearly to business lines and identify potential concerns.
- Participate in the production, review, and filing of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for various regulatory agencies.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation and control procedures between regulatory filings, SEC filings, and other published financial reports (e.g., Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Call Report).
- Adhere to control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial results.
- Guarantee accurate and complete data submission to Regulators.
- Interpret and define regulatory and/or SEC requirements, coordinating internal and external policy alignment.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal business lines and external regulatory agency constituents through ongoing partnership.
Required Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, or regulatory reporting.
- Strong abilities in time management, problem-solving, and both written and oral communication.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player across diverse functions, locations, and businesses.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and other computer applications.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Project management experience or skills.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
