About the Role

Highly regarded technical leader, both within the account team and the Operation for which they work. Provides transparency inside and outside of Cisco, influencing strategy, planning, and investment around innovative architectural solutions with key partners. Offers business‑level mentorship to the Partner account team or Operation on technology trends and competitive threats. Works closely with key partners to design and present business cases for innovative architectural solution development, investment, and implementation. Manages Cisco technical resources and engages SMEs on behalf of the partner, acting as the primary owner of the partner technical relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Planning: Provide strategic feedback on partner landscape, technology, and solution trends within the local market.
  • Business Development: Evaluate partners’ technical readiness against Cisco’s strategy, identify gaps, and guide partners toward new Cisco solutions and services. Coordinate with PAM and Partner SEM to structure new partnerships.
  • Partner Enablement: Build partner Technical Business Plans, analyze technical needs, deliver product and architecture training, and provide positioning/use‑case development training for senior partner technical leadership. Manage the partner’s Technical Readiness Plan and handle requirements/processes for key feature/product requests.
  • Sales Coordination: Adapt or develop Cisco solutions to meet partner needs, communicate value propositions between partner and Cisco field SEs, and capture insight into strategic high‑value opportunities.
  • Partner Service and Support: Ensure high partner scores in C360, act as primary contact for partner technical issues, promote Cisco remote support model, and educate partners on support tools.
  • Technical Leadership & Community: Provide feedback to Cisco business units on feature and solution gaps, research and create collateral on industry trends, become an expert in the competitive landscape, and actively contribute to Cisco technical community discussions.
  • Qualify (Partner Led): Assist partners in refining technical requirements, support customer meetings and seminars, and qualify customer technical needs.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Develop Technical Account Plans, drive solution development (demos, POCs, technical questions), create customer presentation materials, and demonstrate ROI and business impact of Cisco solutions.
  • Post‑Sales (Partner Led): Participate with partners in addressing post‑sales, deal‑specific technical questions.
