The company offers a mobile app with tools for credit score building, automated debt paydown, financial planning, budgeting, and refinance loans, catering to credit cards, student loans, and car loans. This SDE Intern role focuses on Frontend development, contributing to the creation of responsive user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive UI components using React for web applications.
- Build and support mobile interfaces, preferably utilizing React Native.
- Accurately translate design wireframes (e.g., Figma) into high-quality, reusable code.
- Optimize applications to achieve maximum speed and performance, implementing techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, and memorization.
- Ensure robust cross-browser compatibility and consistent smooth performance across various devices.
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs, effectively managing asynchronous data flows.
- Adhere to best practices for web SEO, basic WCAG accessibility standards, and semantic HTML.
- Actively debug issues and contribute to improving overall code quality and maintainability.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands-on experience with React, including functional components, hooks, state, and props.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous programming patterns using tools like fetch or Axios.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and a mobile-first development approach.
- Awareness of performance optimization techniques and general frontend best practices.
